Mathematical Examples

  1. Converting Hours and Minutes to Decimal
    • Example: If you worked 3 hours and 30 minutes, convert minutes into decimal:
      • 30 minutes÷60=0.5
      • 3+0.5=3.5 decimal hours
  2. Calculating Total Pay
    • If your hourly rate is $50 and you worked 3.5 hours, your total pay would be:
      • 3.5×50=175
      • Your total earnings = $175.
  3. Summing Multiple Time Entries
    • Example: You worked:
      • Monday: 2h 15m (2.25 decimal hours)
      • Tuesday: 4h 45m (4.75 decimal hours)
      • Total: 2.25+4.75=7 hours
      • The calculator will show 7 decimal hours.
